UniCredit Bank Becomes Official Partner of the 2025 ATP 250 Țiriac Open

UniCredit Bank has signed on as the Official Partner of the 2025 ATP 250 Țiriac Open, reinforcing its commitment to Romanian sports. The tournament, currently underway, runs from March 31 to April 6, 2025, at the National Tennis Center in Bucharest. This year’s event, presented by UniCredit Bank, features a prize pool of €600,000 and kicks off the European clay court season.

UniCredit Bank’s Role in Tennis and Sports

A key player in the financial sector, UniCredit Bank is part of UniCredit Group, a leading pan-European institution with operations in Italy, Germany, and Central and Eastern Europe. In Romania, UniCredit is recognized as a top financial institution, offering high-quality services across various customer segments.

“UniCredit Bank has been supporting excellence in Romanian sports for over 10 years. We stand by the Romanian Rowing, Fencing, and Water Polo Federations, as well as two major tennis tournaments in Romania: the ATP 250 Țiriac Open and the WTA 250 UniCredit Iași Open. We are thrilled to be part of world-class sporting events that we can enjoy alongside our clients and colleagues who share a passion for sports,” said Anca Ungureanu, Identity & Communication Director at UniCredit Bank.

As part of its partnership, UniCredit Bank is offering its customers a 10% discount on tickets for matches played from Monday to Friday, provided purchases are made using a UniCredit card.

Inspiring the Next Generation Through Tennis

UniCredit Bank’s commitment extends beyond sponsorship, with a focus on education and social impact. In collaboration with tournament organizers, the bank is providing an unforgettable experience for children from underprivileged backgrounds. On March 30, these children will attend the tournament’s qualifying rounds, interact with players and coaches, and engage with the sport in a way designed to build self-confidence and aspiration.

“For us, the Țiriac Open is more than just a tournament. It is the perfect opportunity to offer some children from Teach for Romania programs a unique experience. By participating in the event, they will understand what it means to fight for their dreams, play fair, and enjoy every moment. This is a different kind of education, but one just as important as academic learning. If we can help these children believe in themselves, in the power of their dreams, and realize that hard work can turn them into reality, we are ultimately contributing to a better world for all,” added Anca Ungureanu.
